Mr. Rash

Mr. Rash drew Elise into a church congregation with promises of food and help. He now restrains her and claims she is his wife.

Story so far

The bearded stranger recognized Elise as one of the children who had lived in the silo and invited her to join his congregation. He said the group had found a church and was gathering food, offered to share what he had picked, promised to retrieve her puppy, and called her a miracle.

Identified as Mr. Rash, he described the Pact as important and introduced Remmy as the leader who would guide the flock after Father Wendel. He presented Elise with a paper already bearing two signatures, asked for her name, and kissed her cheek after she signed. His apparent welcome has become overt coercion: he refuses to let her leave, squeezes her wrist and tightens his grip when she cries, and claims she is his wife when Solo tries to take her away.

Appearance

Mr. Rash has dark whiskers and bright eyes. He first wore brown coveralls and was later seen in orange coveralls.

Role

A member of the congregation who has drawn Elise in and now physically prevents her from leaving while claiming a marriage.
