Story so far
Raph left farm work as a boy for the mines, which strengthened his pale arms. When Juliette breached the wall, he pulled her from the excavator and covered her mouth against the unknown air. He helped investigate the digger, identifying its gearbox and confirming that the backup generator’s mounts appeared to fit. Later, he guided evacuees one at a time through the machine’s rear entrance.
After the disaster, Raph accompanied Juliette toward her planned mission, carrying supplies, detonators, and batteries. He told her that he and Gina had been romantically involved. During the fire in Solo’s hiding place, he helped Juliette escape and helped topple the communications server across the hatch to block smoke. He then gathered surviving canned food, distributed over a hundred meeting notes, and openly supported her proposal to leave.
Outside, Raph helped Juliette’s father release his helmet and kissed Juliette on the cheek after removing his own suit. At the bunker, he addressed her as mayor and asked her to decide whether the group should stay or move on. At the campfire he hesitates to burn a branch simply because it is wood, but eventually puts it into the fire.
