Yellow Line Reward Room

the porter car · reward room · car ten

The Yellow Line's prize room — pick one numbered suitcase per line, and hope it's treasure and not a trap.

Story so far

The Yellow Line Reward Room is the prize room in car ten, staffed by the Grapple porter Pierre. Each crawler may collect one prize per train line by choosing a numbered 'suitcase' between 1 and 200 — a Deal-or-No-Deal-style lottery (the party's last reward room won them Mongo). The 'prizes' are real lost luggage: Carl's number-one case is women's clothing hiding two mana potions and a coveted Invisibility-Potion; but Princess-Donut's number-eight case is a Literal Fire Ants trap that immolates car five and kills Vernon.

Cases must be opened before they can be stored, and Carl's Find Traps skill fires for the first time on the deadly one.

Appearance

A locked car of shelves racked with hundreds of numbered suitcases; a half-door through which the porter passes out chosen cases.

Role

A prize-lottery room whose random-suitcase gimmick can deliver treasure or a lethal trap.

Relationships

Pierre — The Grapple porter who dispenses its numbered suitcases.
Carl — Wins an Invisibility Potion from suitcase one.
Princess Donut — Draws the fire-ant trap from suitcase eight.
Vernon — Killed when the trapped suitcase is opened in his break room.
