The tired gray-alien producer of Planet Beautiful — an idealist whose culture show got hijacked by ratings and corporate meddling.
Bin is the stereotypical gray alien who produces Planet-Beautiful, the pageant/culture show Carl and Princess-Donut are pressed onto. Weary and irritable, he defends the show's monstrous AI-written script (crawlers must narrate real culture, voice-faking being illegal without disclaimer) until Carl refuses to read the bigoted 'roasties' segment. Deflating, Bin confesses the truth: he started the show years ago, alone, wanting to preserve the cultures being erased — but its runaway success drew the corporation Titan onto his back, forcing crawler narrators, cheap AI scripts, and demands to make it more 'interesting' on pain of cancellation.
Genuinely stung ('a kick in the chest cavity'), he offers Carl alternate scripts, and Carl settles on the video-arcade history segment. Bin comes off as a rare sympathetic media figure — an idealist ground down by the same machine exploiting the crawlers.
A stereotypical gray alien — small, gray-skinned, big-eyed — looking tired and irritated.
A disillusioned idealist producer, caught between preserving earth's cultures and Titan's ratings demands.
