Oak Fell

the Oak Fell · The Death Upon Us All · She Who Ends · Apito's antichrist

The apocalyptic prophecy the city elves pin on Donut — Apito's antichrist, a great beast destined to unravel heaven and kill all the gods.

Story so far

The Oak Fell is, per Mordecai, the Oak Mother's version of the antichrist — a figure of prophecy normally not contended with until the twelfth floor. The 201st-Security-Group's city elves, led by Salvatore, have branded Princess-Donut as the Oak Fell: 'the great deceiver, devourer of all that is holy... The Death Upon Us All.

She Who Ends,' the great beast Apito warns will unravel the heavens and kill all the gods. Their 'proof' is absurd — Donut wears the Enchanted-Anklet-of-the-Fallen-Oak, oakwood jewelry the oak-worshipping cult finds blasphemous, driving them into gibbering terror at the sight of it. Their 'master' (the town's dark-cleric magistrate) reportedly predicted the Oak Fell and her 'rotting assistants' would come, and had GumGum tortured to learn the party's names.

Role

An apocalyptic title the city-elf cult brands onto Donut, foreshadowing a grander destiny.
