Story so far
Grull opens his mouth at Elle McGib on her second pass and a blast of heat shoots forth, missing her by inches. Carl describes it as a gust of magic like a death ray that melted everything in its path, tearing through the trainyard and turning trains and awnings into slag. Later, having given up on his earthquake attack, the god spends his time melting through the other side of the yard with it — which is what lets Zhang drive the portal cart perilously close to his back without being noticed.
