Hole Spell

Hole

Donut's new utility spell — punches a temporary hole through a chosen surface, more useful the higher its level.

Story so far

Hole is the spell Princess-Donut finds waiting in the saferoom mailbox on the fourth floor — and, notably, she asks Mordecai's opinion before reading it rather than reflexively selling it. It makes a temporary hole on a surface of the caster's choosing; a level-1 hole isn't thick enough to breach most doors, so it needs leveling, but Mordecai and Carl both immediately see its creative tactical potential. Donut had hoped instead for something with 'kick,' like Fireball.

Role

A versatile utility spell with strong creative-tactics potential for the party.

Relationships

Princess Donut — Learns it from the mailbox, after consulting Mordecai for once.
Mordecai — Urges her to read it, seeing its usefulness.
Carl — Already imagining a half-dozen uses for it.
