Story so far
Odette mentioned owning a crab ranch when the team first met her, a detail Carl filed away and used to deduce that she had been sponsoring Hekla. When he says so on live television, she waves it off by pointing at her crab lower half, joking that her husband handles the sponsorships and that she does not run the finances for the crab ranch.
After the show she admits privately that the ranch story was cover: it was her, not her husband, and she hopes one day to explain further. The ranch therefore stands as the visible face of whatever Odette is really doing with her money in the crawl, a question Carl still cannot answer.
