Enchanted Necklace of the Haute Bourgeoisie

Necklace of the Haute Bourgeoisie · the settlement necklace

A chain-of-leadership necklace that collects tax stipends and stat perks from every settlement Carl controls.

Story so far

Carl finds this necklace in his Platinum Tyrant's Box — the reward for conquering the Medium Skyfowl Settlement. A silver chain with a jewel-encrusted charm, it is 'the second smallest of the chains of leadership': each gem represents a settlement the bearer owns, and if a settlement's jewel survives the floor's collapse, the holder permanently earns a tax stipend every ten days plus stat perks. Its single 'Poor Sapphire' gem (Medium Skyfowl Settlement) grants +5 Dexterity, the Talon-Strike skill, and 432 gold every 10 days.

Wearing it is why NPCs hadn't recognized Carl as magistrate. It upgrades — boosting all gems — only when he conquers a Large settlement.

Appearance

A simple silver chain with a quarter-sized charm holding a small yellow jewel (the 'Poor Sapphire' of the Skyfowl Settlement); feels oddly heavy on the skin.

Role

A passive-income and stat-buff necklace tied to Carl's conquered settlements.

Relationships

Carl — Wears it for +5 Dexterity, the Talon Strike skill, and a recurring tax stipend.
