Chain-Making Scroll
chain-making scrolls · the magical chain
Imani had a few left in inventory, and they turn out to be strong enough to hang a van from.
Story so far
Imani C still had several chain-making scrolls when Carl asked her to spend them, and several piles of magical chain sit coiled and ready before the cart goes up. The chain lifts the back end of The Def Leppard Cart easily and does not break — a van-weight vehicle hauled vertical, locked off half an inch above the marble, with additional lengths anchoring the nose against swinging. Under the two explosions later in the day the chains groan and hold.
Appearance
Coiled piles of conjured chain, bright and unworn.
Role
The load-bearing element of Carl's crane.
Relationships
Imani C — Owned and spent them at Carl's request.
The Crane — Provided its lifting and anchoring chain.
The Def Leppard Cart — Held it hanging for the whole event.
