Grease Gremlin
A quieter breed of gremlin drawn to boiler repair and heavy engineering rather than carnage — the Tangle's train technicians.
Story so far
Grease Gremlins are a breed of gremlin that, unlike their flesh-rending kin, prefer quiet work like boiler repair and heavy engineering — 'could go either way' on violence, but employed as Iron Tangle steam-engine technicians (kept docile by mandatory HR 'Sensitivity Training'). The party's guide Widget is one: goblin-shaped, hair-covered, wrench-toting, and — as long as you don't abuse him or his beloved trains — genuinely helpful. They staff the trainyard watchtowers and maintain the steam fleet.
Appearance
Small goblin-shaped gremlins covered in bristly black hair, favoring railroad caps and oversized wrenches; mechanically inclined.
Role
The Tangle's mechanically-minded gremlin train-technician race.
